What we collect, and what we don't.

Last updated October 20, 2026.

The short version

Hub3 is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We don't sell or rent anyone's information, and we never publish anything about a single household.

Questions about any of this? Write to hello@hub3.us.

If you sign up to be a block captain

Our sign-up form (run by Typeform) asks for your name, email, phone number, street address, city and ZIP code, plus anything you want to tell us. We use it to build your packet, and to email it to you.

We share it with the services that help us run this work, and we may share it with nonpartisan partner organizations doing voter outreach in North Carolina, so they can support you. We never share it with a campaign or a party. We never sell it. If you'd rather not hear from us, reply to any of our emails and say so.

If you give

Gifts are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles your card details; we never see or store your card number. We get your name, email and the amount, so we can thank you and keep the records a nonprofit is required to keep. Stripe emails you a receipt.

The voter file

Packets are built from public records: North Carolina's statewide voter file and voting history, official polling-place lists, AddressNC and NC OneMap. These show whether someone voted, never who they voted for.

Finished packets have names and addresses, so we never put them online. More on how the data is handled.

When you visit this site

We use tools like these to learn which pages help people, and we may add or change them over time:

Google Ads. If you arrive from one of our ads, Google's tag notes the visit, so we can tell whether the ad led to a gift or a sign-up. It uses cookies. You can opt out of personalized ads at adssettings.google.com.

Hotjar. Hotjar shows us how visitors move through our pages, such as where they click and how far they scroll, so we can make them clearer. It does not record anything you type, and it hides numbers and email addresses on the page. It uses cookies. Hub3 uses Hotjar through Hotjar's program for nonprofits.

The field memo sign-up box and the contact form on this site open your own email app; nothing you type in them is sent to us until you send that email.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
